Welcome to VAR Associates
We are experts in Disability Equality issues

We can provide clear interactive training to enable your business to develop and provide accessible services for all, as required by the Disability Discrimination Act 1996.

The Disability Discrimination Act states that all companies, regardless of size, must make all reasonable adjustments to ensure that Disabled people have full access to their premises and the goods they provide.

1996 - Employment rights and first rights of access came into force.
1999 - Further services were included, like for example Local Authority Services and shops.
2004 - The final amendment to the act was made more comprehensive than previous versions. It insists that companies now make all reasonable permanent physical and communicative adjustments to their buildings, the services they provide and staff attitudes. Transport provisions, including taxi services, are still to be finalised.

VAR Associates particularly looks at Transport provisions for disabled people.
